  • I believe read both posts well enough. While I don't agree with that one much, he actually made sense in a weird sort of way until he twisted it to support gun control. Tossing out alternate scenarios just muddles the argument.

  • Anyone who needs a shotgun for varmint hunting needs his head examined. I have a .25-20 lever-action my grandfather and father used, that's all you need if you know how to shoot in the first place. (Deer, on the other hand, usually need a shotgun.

  • Chicago, it's illegal to have a loaded firearm. Ditto, DC until just recently - and the DC elected officials are appealing a ruling that says people have the right to use firearms to protect themselves.

  • Gas prices are based on supply and demand, and affected by government manipulation of both by taxation and by control of offshore leases. If the government ould just get out of the way - as it started to do around the 2008 elections - prices would drop the same way again.
